GT40 heads, and a gt40 intake are a proven combination. They will give you a ton more power/torque. For a fun street combo like that, look at the Comp 2030/2031 cams. I have always liked them in my fox cars. I had an E-cam in my last Fox, and did not like how the power rolled on nearly as much as I did with the comp cam.I have heard a lot of people fussing about the XE270HR-12/14 cams, so you may look into them as well.

As for rockers, some nice FRPP, Scorpion, or Crane 1.6 pedestal mount roller rockerswould be perfect for your combo.

for the heads... port the exhaust and clean up the intakes. smooth out the thermactor bump too.

possibly port the lower intake, at least maybe get the heads matched to the intake

cam ?? stay under .500 lift and go w/ a 1.7 rocker

imo that combo has the ability ro run 12's on motor if everything else is stock, proabably make over 300 REAL hp (my buddys car setup similar but no cam or intake porting , but a real gt40 tubular intake went 11.80's squirting 125 on it)

All depends on what your lookin for...I have the set up you are looking to do in my DD. Its ok put down 270 on motor with Ecam.....had a 100 shot on it....now that made it a lot more fun. When I was on motor made fora good racewith z28's....so yeah its cool but in the end is it ever enough? LOL!!!! feels like a pig now...and the motor has been in my car two weeks....haha...make sure you figure upgrading yourinjectors, Mass Air, exh. (may need to get new headers) and such into your budget

the gt-40 stuff is a step up from stock and a proven bang for the buck power producer but in the end it won't be enough to satisfy your desire ..heck low 12's on all motor weren't enough to satisfy my need for speed and only when I sprayed a 100 on top of that was I finally satisfied

I was just coming home from work and ran into an STI beat me by a half car (had a million gauges and a turbo I could hear over my 40 series flowies but still).....see this sort of thing shouldnt happen....LOL you could do this....do the GT-40 stuff and with the extra money get a 75-100 shot dry kit....its cheap and it will rip.....oh I dont think your longtubes are going to work or might have to change one spark plug boot....might need to ask sombody else on here???

I agree.... however... you will get a more long-lasting/ "bullittproof" performance out of FFRP cams..... go with the B-cam... but if you decide on comp-cams.. or whatever......go with an edelbrock intake.....
cobra is just as worthy.... but edlebrock has a great reputation that u can't beat honestly.... their research team is the best of the best/ "top gun"

LASTLY, .........EVERYONE has said some meaningful things.. but honestly... you should just do a "pure" engine rebuild and save ur money... bc down the ROAD you are going to want to do more... be smart.... think and research more.
