so yesterday before i left for class i checked my fluids in the 5.0, everything was good drove to class then when i left class on my way to work my check oil light lit up...i was like what...[&:]so i was almost there and yeah kept goin just watched the oil pressure gauge. got to work parked it and let it cool off about 2 hrs later i went out and popped the hood and all a sudden the oil was down a quart...its not leaking anywhere tho, no oil under the car at school or work, just tranny fluid [:'(]but i already knew that was leaking. its not burning oil i kno that for a fact so thats whats got me confused...down in the oil pan tho i noticed what looks to be a sensor or sometype of thing had a small drip of oil on it, i didnt drive the 5.0 today cuz i was worried. but i noticed that oil spot today anyone got ne ideas?

 

how did u see in your oil pan...are you talking about the front or rear plug

 

was it pushing any coolant into the over flow?

 

mine started doing that right before the motor went kabooom! blew a head gasket. then threw a rod right through the f...ing block

 

thats exactly what i was getting to, good call. i would do a compression test.

 

so when was the last time you checked the oil level before noticing it was 1 quart down???
