I found out that my car was a 4 cyl conversion but I never knew ituntilI ran a car fax on it....Are there any parts that are weaker like for example the steering....I am scared to do anything with it hard becuase I am scared somethings going to break becuase it was a four cyl. at one time.

Only differences between them are the springs, rear-end, tranny, and rear-end. If your car was done properly, all of them should have been changed. Steering is the same.

the 5.0 will have a closer ratio steering gear = not a problem....and springs will be softer on 4 cyl = not a prob.. and do a burn out!! one leg or two?? still won't be a prob..the 7.5 will handle the power and the tranny...most likely has the 5.0 tranny and even if it had the 4 cyl 5 speed ..it'll hold up.. been there done that...so quit worrying and beat on her!!! to fun

Like everybody has told you, you have all the necessities to make it a 5.0 car so it should be fine. The one thing you might want to look into upgrading if its still stock is the brake system. Even on GTs they are a little on the scrawny side.

Not to hijack the thread. What are the recommendations to upgrading the brake system?
