Default Is it an AOD or AODE...Please help

My wife's 93' Triple White LE has a code T for the trans, which according to Chilton's says it is an AOD. But, it does not list a code for an AODE which were in use at the time. The way this transmission shifts (quickly shifting through the gears-no wind out) I seems like it's an AODE. Chilton does list a A4LD trans code, could this be the AODE at that time. Was the AODE used in 93 Stangs? I want to put in a valve body to get better shifts, using more of the gearsand need to know just which one I have. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the help guys. Your input makes sense with the codes that I am looking at. It must be an AOD, but have to wonder why it shifts so quickly, where as my 91 vert AOD likes to wind out the gears a bit, and shifts great. They both have shift kits, but the 93 was rebuilt. Think maybe the rebuild was done poorly? What could someone screw up that would make it shift through gears to fast?

mjr46, where can I find what the proper setting for the cable/rod is? And whould that being out of adjustment affect how quickly the trans shifts from 1st to 2nd to 3rd? Thanks

The TV cable is what controls your shift points. The slightest bit of adjustment can change them a lot.
