Quick question, Im getting a lowering kit and am looking at getting the bump steer kit.
But have noticed there is to kids a stud and bolt type? Im not sure what the difference is. Also do I need caster cambers if I get the bump steer kit. I having trouble getting a straight answer. Also will be replacing tie rods? Any help would be great thanks

I would stay away from the bolt type, you have to drill out the spindle to except them. So if you ever want to go go back to stock or go to a tappered stud rod end you would have to replace the spindle.

I went with the BAER' kit that Steeda carries, it is a tappered stud just like the factory rod end and all of the parts in the kit werehigh quality.

From what I have read, you will need caster plates if you lower the car more than 1". Not sure about bump steer kit. I am changing out my rack and will go with offset bushings as mine is lowered 3/4" front w/ no caster plates.

Yeah when I did my 5 lug conversion I got a bump steer kit and got the bolt type because it was cheaper. With having to get the spindles machines it ended up being more expensive. Just get the stud type. Less of a pain in the ***.
