Default header on fire!

last night i was driving back to my house and after i shut my car off i noticed smoke coming out from under my hood and i could see a fire through my cowl induction. I put out the fire and today i checked to see the damage and possible causes. the only thing that caught fire was my headers which were wrapped. my car had been running lean and i read that when a car runs lean the headers get really hot, is it possible it heated up enough to set the header wraps ablaze? Only one side caught fire too.

spilled something on them maybe? Header wrap soaked in oil would probly burn, I dunno how flamable that stuff is.

i dont think it was oil, i just applied some oil to the remains of the wrap and it didnt smell like it, plus the smoke was black from oil, the smoke from yesterday was white.

it probably just set the wrap on fire.
when you run lean the headers get like a stove.

headers can glow cherry red if the motor runs too lean, so you probably need to get the car on a dyno and find out why it's running that lean before you burn the car down.
