Default WHAT GEARS

Im going to put in new gears but not sure what to go with, 3.55 or 3.73. Im also installing a new crate motor 302 stroked out to 347 then put my supercharger on at 4 to 7 lbs with 32 injectors. What do you think i shpuld go with? Thanks for any input,

yea go with 3.73s i have the 3.55s and im pretty happy with them but i am still thinking about going 3.73. alot of the guys at the drag strip tell me to stick with the 3.55s though so i have mixed feelings

If you already have 3:55's dont bother going to 3:73's you're really not going to notice the difference.

The 3:73 is a good all round gear for manual. To the guy who is thinking changing from a 3:55 to a 3:73, i wouldn't bother changing them.

yea thats why i havent changed, i figured that. some people would argue that but seriously it cant make that much difference, now if i threw in some 4.10s or something yea you would know it but thats too much for a manual IMO

i put 4:10's in my first mustang, had a roller motor 306ci and all that great stuff. Pulled pretty hard. Could bark the tires doing about 55-60 going from 5th to 4th. That's the difference. On the other hand interstate driveing was about 3500rpm's at 70mph


oh it was a 5speed

I have 4.30's and Im doing 65mph at 2500 rpms.
