Rebuilding a T5 for my AOD to T5 swap, and trying to do this on a budget, the T5 I got now is blown pretty bad, 3rd gear is was pratically fused with the countershaft so i'm going to replace them both, the rest of the gears look good but I was wanting to know if I could replace the Countershaft with another used one? just to keep costs down whatcha think? and also should I just buy another 3rd gear or can I still use just a used one? first T5 rebuild

used parts are fine, make sure they are correct for your app though.

count the number of teeth and ensure it is the same as the used you buy...try ebay..lots of t5 parts for fairly cheap

 

yea i tried that but I couldnt bring anything up...so all I need to do is count the teeth no number matching or anything?
