I have a 1984 mustang with a 302 HO non-roller motor, and I want to know what you all think would be the best heads, headers, intake, cam for my car. I know everyone is wanting me to get a roller motor but i do not want to spend that much money and I am also not looking to make that much power out of this car so it would be pointless. What I want out of this car is to have 350 HP and 325 Torque, and able to beat a Corvette. Give me some advice.
i would keep it cheap and get some gt40p heads and a decent size cam. p heads do great for the money. my buddys car had p heads and a b303 cam and a performer rpm intake with a 650 holley and it ran really good.
unless you have plenty of money to get afr's or something. i know i dont want to pay $1300 for heads, thats why i didnt suggest that first like most people do.
seriously- Air Flow Research. Everyone praises their heads because they are the best. check out their website which is www.airflowresearch.com and look at the ford articles and see how much power they make- you will be impressed. They are kinda expensive but are pretty much the best flowing head you can buy (besides extreme race heads).
like afr 205cc heads for fords- not practical for street use like afr 165 or afr 185. they make power outside of the power range ( high rpms) of daily driven street cars.
