Default 5.0 exploder/mountaineer ignition

what years did explorers or mountaineers use cam sensors and coil packs or whatever they used i knoe i saw one with a cam sensor but it's been a long time and is there any benefit to using this on our cars?

precise ignition timing and control...ask rbarn he used a ls 1 coil pack set up and explores cam /crank sensor set up
