I just installed an msd 6al ignition box and my tach is not working. Did anyone else have this problem and if so what do i have to hook up.

 

Tach, aftermarket or stock?

 

stock tach. i have an autometer tach that i will be installing shortly> So basically what to do with both of them

 

6al should have a port on the side of the box, im pretty sure thats where the tach hook up goes.

 

you need the convertor to make it work with a stock tach in that year...... been there done that MSD# 8920 i believe

 

It's called a tach adapter and I'm using a msd 6al and stock tach and I have the 8920 adapter..if you want to run the autometer tach... you won't need the adapter and all you have to do is plug the green wire from your autometer tach into the tac port on the 6al box
