ok earlier on i posted a forum that im lagging power out of my mustang evryone told me to do a tune up i did it today and it still lags! when i press the gas pedal down to GOO it doesnt GOO it lags a lot the motor sounds like it wants to move but it doesnt move and the tranny shifts fine can anyone please help!>>??

 

What all did you do on the tune up? Are you automatic or maunal transmission?

 

1994 ford mustang 5.0 automatic, i did oil change oil filter spark plugs and wires distributor fuel filter air filter rotor and thats about it from what i can remmember

 

run a koeo/koer test and check for codes..and you could try cleaning maf and or check timing

 

how do u run for the code test? i dont have any equipment for that and what do u mean cleaner the maf?

and maf cleaner can be purchased at local parts store = mass air flow meter cleaner

 

lol ok i still dont get the code thing ill just take it to a shop so they can check for codes all thought theirs no check engine code that stays on their is one time tho that it comes on and then it shuts off by itself and then when im driving it will come on and then just leave in a little while

 

it's easy to blink out the codes.. but if you feel more comfortable a shop scan it then by all means do it...and any codes that come and go should be logged in the ecm's memory

 

Do you have cats? You could have a bad catyletic converterpluggin up your exhaust........

 

Do you think its possible he may have a bad torque converter mjr46? I am with bigmac on the cats too that is if he has any?
