Default coolant leak, somewhere

My cars leaking coolant from somewhere- I'll top it off, and within a week the low coolant light will come back on. the car isnt overheating...actually, the needle barely moves at all, not even into 'normal'. i know its not a radiator leak. but you can smell it bad sometimes inside the car, and the heat sucks- heater core, maybe?

help a girl out![]

If your heater core is leaking the passanger floor will be wet, check the thermostat gasket, water pump and timer cover gasket. Sounds to me like a hose might be leaking coolant onto your header and causing it to burn making the smell in the car

^ that sounds very well it could be a possibility. i've never had a heater core go in any of my vehicles ever. i do know there is a puddle, and one person i know told me it was wet out of his heating/air vents.

these seem to be a common repair on these cars. out of everyone i knew well who had one of these only one actually had to replace his. and a lot of the people i knew who had one had close to 150k. i'm sure it will probably go sometime soon on mine though just like everything else.
