i know that theres like a million of headers post but i cant find one that can help me! here is my problem... i have a 89 5.0 with an e 303 cam,ported/polished/multiangle,crane cams conical springs,1.6 scorpion rollers, cobra intake,70mm throthel, 71mm mas air, bbk cold air intake under dirve pulleys and made 251whp and 287wtq!! with unequal bbk 1 5/8shorties headersnow igot some headmand 1 1/2 LT headers will they give me more hp? or do i stay with the bbk ones?! ps:sorry for my spelling!

 

no they won't

you want 1 5/8"

1 1/2" are stock...no not lt's but still too small for you, i'd look for lt 1 5/8"

 

I 'd have at least 1 5/8 lt's......but power gain over shorties won't be terribly noticable

 

there will be a bit of a sound difference, and maybe a couple more foot lbs, probably little to no seat of the pants

 

Keep the shorties until you get larger LT's

 

so 1 5/8 LT's are better? im just worried that im gonna lose some HP puting the 1 1/2 LT's that i got
