Default balancer removal

how the heck am I saposed to take off my harmonic balancer?
i rented the puller from autozone...broke it.
bought a 150 dollar one(need it for class anyways)....bent it.
no matter what i use it dosent budge. honestly I dont care what happens to it, i just need the timing chain cover. Anyone got some recommendations? And yes ive tried liquid wrench to help and nothing, i've tried bigger, longer wrenches and nothing.
im stuck.

You removed the big bolt and the washer correct? I always loosened the big bolt and put the puller on it to get it started so you don't mess up the threads of the crank. I am doing mine tomorrow and if yours has not been taken off I will let you know how mine went.

yes I did loosen the bolt but keeping it in there to start it seems like a good idea.
I'll have to try that, altho i doubt it will help any

other than that stupid big washer thats all I know of when I have removed them, you could spray some good pb blaster in there overnight to see if it does have some rust, I know you said you used penetrating oil already, but maybe a bit more will help.

remove the bolt and washer and use the correct end on the tip of the puller.. if you use the right sized one it won't damage threads but soak it down with some PB first

well the liquid wrench must of worked wonders. I went outside, put that big nut back in the crank, put on the puller and it came off easy as pie. So if anyones ever struggling with this problem soak it in blaster or something like it and wait an hour or two.
