Default Got Headers?

It seems my cat's stopped up. I'm trying to decide what kind of X pipe toget but I wanna know what u guys think. Long tube or short tube headers? I'd like a real aggressive and throaty sound. My 91 had longtube bbk headers and a drgas xpipe. sounded good. but whats new?

Personally i think shorty headers have a more agressive sound. mac makes good x pipes!

Cool, what about the smog pump. If I go with an O/R X pipe will i need to do away with that? Get a chip/tuner?

im pretty sure equals make more power but they are also suposed to be harder to install because of their crazy shape, im not sure if there is a sound difference between equals and shorties though.

Equal length headers are also know as "tuned" headers. They basically give you a little more power because they make each exhaust pulse more equal, but they really won't effect sound much, and the power gains are not all that much. I would just get a set of long tubes, they tend to make more power, and exhaust hook up is easier.

With equal length shorties, you will never want to change your spark plugs again. There just a lazy mans way to get more power but they dont want to do the work of installing full lengths, but i dont have much room to talk i got regular shorties cuz im not only lazy but also cheap.
