Default Went to the track!

I was fairly proud of the stang today. We went to the 411 Dragway today and i pulled a 9.73 at 72 which i though was fairly good for a pretty much stock mustang. what do you all think? if anyone else want to post times to compare feel free. and i also wondered if my 5.0 was faster than a 4.6 because my years only can with 175 hp and 260 torque stock

i dont think you will beat a 215 hp 95 5.0, but they are heavier, probly will depend on drivers.

95 stang is a 5.0, and an 02 gt has 260hp stock. 96-98 4.6's had like 215 or 225 hp, 99-04 had 260 hp. It would be a close race with the 95 5.0, those are pretty good numbers for your car. I think that any race between you and a stock 94-98 mustang (5.0 or 4.6) would depend mostly on the driver. slap in some gears and you got em beat as long as they are stock..99 and up GT's will most likely beat you. by the way- what kind of gas mileage do you get and what kind of carb have you got? i am thinking about carbureting mine.

THe 95s still have the 5.0 but the 99+ 4.6s have 260 GROSS horsepower.

Well..ok..

I run at New England Dragway, which is a 1/4 mile track. But they do give the 1/8 mile times and the mph at the 1/8 mile mark. My best is time at the 1/8 is 9.327, and the best mph was 76.71 mph, though not on the same run. As you can see in my sig. though, I have done some modest bolt-on mods. I think the biggest gain was with the 3:55 gears.

But to make you feel good, my 1st ever run was 9.868 @ 73.37, so you done good...
