Default heater core bypass

does anyone know what size hose i nee to bypass my heater core? my car isnt even close to running so i cant just take it up there and find out just wondering if someone could save me 10 or 11 trips to autozone

Dunno, why not just fix it the right way? it's not that hard(I probably shouldn't say this until I'm finished with mine).

well i have an automatic and i dont really want to rip the whole dash out i already have a whole list of things i need to do still

Having an auto or 5 speed makes no difference with the heater core.
Its having ac or not having ac that makes the difference.

When I bypassed mine I stuck a 3 or 4" piece of copper pipe in eachhoseand hose clamped them to the pipe- basically looping thehoses together.It worked for a few months until I got the heater core replaced.

3/4 to 5/8.

Go to AutoZone and buy hose number S-4354, it’s about $8.00 cut about 1" off and it fits perfectly.

5/8 should work just fine or you can buy a 90 degree elbow and loop two hoses together and clamp it tight

haha i wish i would have read this a little earlier... i ended up just taking my two molded hoses up there and figuring it out that way they didnt have anything close to what i needed ill go tomorrow and check for that part number though. thanks
