Default new spec clutch= problems

Just picked up my 88 gt from the mechanic, he installed a spec stage 1. When the clutch pedal is fully out at idle it, there is some clutch noise. The mechanic said it sounds like the throwout bearing is vibrating slightly butonce the clutch pedal is pushed down just a centimeter the rattle sounds stops?

The car also vibrates and shakes real bad as you are letting the outclutch getting the car moving in first or reverse. Once i am moving it drives great. WHAT THE F*%&!!!

I'm sure the mechanic did it right because he has done all the work on my car, and has had many mustangs himself.

Has anyone else had problems like this? Does it just need to be broken in? Did I maybe get a factory defect?

the clutch cable is a little loose, and the chatter is because the clutch is not broken in

That makes sense! Cause my clutch would vibrate alot or shake in certain gears and my clutch cable just broke so it was probly decrepped and stretched, wich cause that.

Was the t/o bearing replaced and was the flywheel machined/replaced?

thats not going to do you any good. Spec clutches chatter... there is nothing they can do for you...

just use the gas a little bit more. I noticed if I brought my RPM's up a little more than i normally did. I had no chatter at all.

It's a new clutch... deal with it!

if the flywheel wasn't resurfaced I'd start there but first let the clutch wear in and go from there
