I have a 91 gt with a 306 in it. When I first start it up I have a noise that sounds like a lifter tapping. the RPMS go up and down id say between650 - 900 rpmsthe car acts like it is going to die.

once the car is warmed up there isnt any issues, but the check engine light comes on. the car runs great if I let it warm up first.

also what are some good mods to help with traction.

any advise would help....
