ok so my car feels slow. not as powerfull or fast as it could be. ive been in a few 5.0 fox bodys and thier beasts! even in stock form. where do i start, what are some of the things i should check first. i think it goes beyond timing, or spark etc. maybe more internal.

are there any good books for engine building specifically for the 5.0 motor?

 

Start with a full basic tune up and go from there.

 

Tune up, exhaust leaks, plugs, wires, compression test, and electrical shorts. Should keep you busy for a while.

 

yea what they said, also try seafoam, i have 150 k and it did wonders for my car, it deff picked up
