TCI converters are pretty much junk, sorry to tell, but it's the truth.
have you ever used one?huh?? huh???.........I put one is afriends car 3000 stall and it held up for mover 400 passes in a 12 sec ridethe advertised stall was 3000 and on a roll it flash at 3000 but footbrake we were hard pressed to get 2400 without it pushing the car

Yes I have, in fact I have had three of them in three differant cars and none worked like they should have. Converters are one of those things you just should not cheap out on, at least not if you want to go fast.
a place called transmission specialties has decent ones we just swapped out my friends tci one for and trans specialties one and works great
Major, Can you recommend a good one? I only use a 125 shot once in a while.302 ford crate, forged internals, E303, Windsor Jr. Heads 1.6 scorpion, 373 gears, PA C4 built. I currently have a TCI 3500 Street fighter that is crap. If I foot break it, I have a hard time spinning on pavement.
ok ok I understand some people feel that they (tci streetfighter) is crap. Is this just personal prefereance (ie. ford vs chevy) or did you really experence a problem. I would really like to know the "problem" Did they not stall like advertized? If you check converters tci is by no means a "cheap" converter.
