Default Jack question

What type of floor jack do you use?

From the bottom of the V bracing bolts (under front subframe) to ground: about 4"

Craftsman offers:

2 ton Aluminum racing jack: min height 3.5"

Pro: Will fit under car
Con: only 2tons

All other jacks (3, 4 tons) min height is 5"/5.75"

Pro: safer with more tons
Con: Wont fit under car

What should I do?
What type of floor jack do you use?

We use a 2 ton jack, that will jack up 4,000 pounds. Now unless you plan on adding weight to you're stang go ahead and get one, they are very versatile and WAY lighter than the larger jacks. Just remeber to use jack stands when ever you jack something up.

If you balanced your entire car on a stick and placed that stick on a jack and tried to jack it up....then a 2 ton jack will be close to its limit....but still work.

You would have no use for a 3-4 ton jack unless you were jacking construction equipment or semi trucks.

A 2 ton jack will do more than you ever will need for your stang.

I have 2 Craftsman 3 ton jacks that came with stands, but usually use 6 ton stands because they're taller. Sometimes the jack is a little taller than air dams and things, so I lift on the car a little by hand and shove it under. Ive actually had something off the ground with a jack on each end, but I wouldnt recommend it....

Alright we don't need any bragging in here. All of us would die to have a personal lift at home. I know I sure would
