fresh rebuilt motor just doesnt run like it should. i only have about 15 miles on it, but i can just tell it doesnt even have the power that it had before rebuild, and i have added a new cam and had a valve job done on the heads, fresh pistons etc..
it idles fine and sounds bad *** but just doesnt have the power...any feedback would be appreciated.......

would you even need new springs for a stage 1? yeah its aftermarket but i would think it would be mild enough for stock springs.
if i had to guess i'd say timing, maybe its running rich

well you'd hope so but I'd look on my receipt and make sure.. our local machine shop unless you ask for it they don't do it irregardless of them knowing better..but it souns as if you have a stock motor with a cam....if that's the case don't expect to much more power than stock..meaning a cam swap most likely won't give you a seat of the pants feel you are looking for[8D]

no but i dont have the power that i had before......the motor is mostly stock.....
ported stock intake
70 mm tb
speed density by the way
performance chip
long tubes etc....
motor had 160,000 before rebuild and i could still take most cars around here, but i dont have even that now, and i should have at least a little more than i had before
