Default ENGINE STAND

I have a very very very newb question for you guys and please dont bash me too bad for this one.... I bought an engine stand and put it all together and I just don't understand how the block mounts to the stand... I mean do I use factory trans bolts to go through the 4 prongs with holes on the engine stand? or did i get screwed out of some hardware with my stand?? I am almost scared to see the replies to this thread because I know there is gonna be some ***** who knows everything bout everything bashin me for tryin to learn new things lol but to those who reply with a helpful responsethanks!

normally you get the bolts with the stand but you may need to head to the parts store and grab some bolts
whats the build you're up to?

If it's a 5.0 then you'll needto pick up 4 - 7/16 X 14 bolts, the length depends on how thick your engine stand arms are.

It should be attacked to the engine something like this.

I often use the long head bolts = old ones and washers to get correct depth spacing

as for where they go, the bellhousing bolt holes are a common mounting point

but yeah, i think normally they come with bolts, but i guess you got one that didnt.....

i got one from Autozone and mine didnt come with them either do u use fine or course thread bolts?

Coarse thread bolts. We got our stand from harbor freight and outs didn't come with bolts either. Go to the hardware store and get yourself some grade 8's or something somewhat strong.
