why is it that sumtimes my transmission is like locked b/c it doesnt go into first gear when i have my foot on the clutch.. i have to like shove it to gear.. why is that?

 

could have a bent clutch fork

 

my friend had that problem turns out it was his pilot bearing

 

so if i just got a tranny repair kit.. would that solve the problem?? if not.. then what do u suggest i do.. thanks

I've had that problem as well, mine got stuck in fourth when I was stopping at a light and I had to take off in fourth...not fun... currently mine is in the shop getting new bearings and synchronizers because it was jammed in a gear somehow after my rearend went out. I'll let you know if it seems to get rid of it.

 

so what should i buy to make my tranny better.. im thinking bearings and syncronizers??? b/c i do grind from 2nd to 3rd.. plus sumtimes the tranny locks up and i gotta shove the **** into gear... so should i just get new bearings and syncronizers?? i really need help what i need to get.. thanks

 

have you checked your clutch and the cable?

 

i really dont no what the problem could be.. once ive driven it for a few minutes.. lets say i wanna turn it around.. so when i do.. sumtimes the tranny just wont give in.. like i cant get it to first.. i feel like its locked.. i just dont no waht the problem is.. its weird.. i mean the tranny isnt shot.. but still.. could it be that the clutch isnt pushed all the way down??

 

how fast are you going when you try to put it in gear

 

as fast as possible.. lets say im racing... does that answer your question
