Default Another quick tech question:

Alright, so when I put in my new motor, I'm swapping over to fuel injection. I'm doing this because I plan to boost the beast eventually.
I have almost all the parts I need, but I've heard I will need an inline fuel pump as well as a different gas tank?
Can someone confirm this?
Here's what I've got so far:
Upper/Lower intake manifold
Throttle body/Intake
Fuel rail/Injectors
Injector Harness
MAF (73mm)
Here's what I know I need:
Main wiring harness/ECU

What am I missing?

Thanks guys.

if you car was a 84 carbed model and not the cfi model than you will need a different gas tank for one cause the efi model has an in tank pump and carrier and a fuel tank baffle set up that'll surround the efi pump so fuel slosh doesn't occur also the sending unit for the gauge is seperate from the fuel pump carrier on efi models and located in the center of the tank where as on the carb models the sending unit was located on the pick up tube assembley and a 1 piece does all unit

You don't need a pump in addition to the one in the tank, providing the one in the tank is a decent size. A 255lph should be fine unless you're looking for big numbers.

maybe true if he were efi!!! but he's converting from carb to efi so no pump in the tank so yes he does need an efi pump
