Default 1983 GLX 5.0 Mustang

Ok so I got a 1983 GLX 5.0 Mustang that is completely stock. I need to know what is compatible with this year and type of Mustang. If anyone has a link to a website that sells these parts I would highly appreciate it.

No it will not. You need to convert your exhaust mounts. You can do it pretty easily. You'll need to switch to an x or h pipe as well. Your mounts are located under your tranny in between your tranny and the crossmember and also muffler hangers will need to be installed. I did the whole thing in about 3 hours, as well as headers.

Ok here is my next question, so the size of the tires are exactly this "220/55/390" I am pretty sure that the 390 is converted to "16" somehow but was just wondering if anyone had some insight on that.

*These tires are about 10 years old or even older*

TRX tires are hard to find, just get some 15-16in rims...

Yep, I agree with Gary. Hunt around and get some decent ones for cheap, and slap some good rubber on em. What kinda budget you lookin at?

Well I was looking at tirerack.com and found these wheels "American Racing Vintage Ansen Sprint" 17" with rec. tire size 235/45/17 for $162 each. I wanted to double check with ya all, this will fit, correct? I do not have a current budget, this has been a year long project, the thing finally is able to be driven but now just needs some more tune-ups. Doesn't mean I am spending a fortune, but I have the time to save money and put it into the project as necessary.

the long block will but you won't be able to use any of the efi stuff since you are carbed unless you convert to efi = long process, but IMO 86 would be the worst choice to get because of the flat top pistons with no valve reliefs and the restrictive e6 heads
