Starting Problem!
My 89 Lx is having starting issues. Basically it starts right up no problem, seems to run great, but the hotter it gets, the harder it becomes to start. Starting it becomes progessively worse until it reaches operating temperature and it wont start at all. It cranks fine, the engine just wont fire. It idles rougher then usual now, but thats about it.
Possible cause?...I was getting on the highway flooring it in 1st gear. When I went to bang 2nd I caught a glimpse of the Tach at 7000rpm. This cant be normal. The kid I bought the car from said he did some minor head work...but who knows what that means. The car had a few bolt ons, but nothing special. Could something have gone wrong with the heads, or is there some other potential causes for this? Thanks a lot.

heat, bad connections somewhere, heat adds resistance to wiring and components, or vice versa, just a guess right now without experiencing the prob, could even be a fuel pressure issue / restriction, like a bad pick up filter on pump or fuel filter
