I have a 90 GT Conv. with a random hole in the dash below my hazards and top switches. My buddys 89 GT hatch has with low fuel lights and such. Does anyone know if I am supposed to have something there or if this was just a screw up when the previous owner put in alarm light?

nothing goes there, likely the owner before you had a switch for NITROUS! j/k but its not sopposed to be there, he most likely had a toggle for something

 

I also have a '90 GT Ragtop. That hole is definitely some after market addition. Mine does not have that.

 

my guess is some one was running nitrous or its a subwoofer cut off switch, or some kind of toggle switch (neon, nitrous, audio..etc)
