Default Tune up.

ok now that i got a truck i am starting to work on my 92 project. i want to do a tune up. what do you guys think of msd wires, cap and rotor. any paticular type of msd wires would be best. and do you guys recomend autolite plugs. platinum or reg. if anyother suggestions please let me know.

Copper plugs usually give a better spark, but the downside is you should change them about every 3,000 miles, which isn't bad if you don't mind working on your car, if you go with platinum plugs they will last longer. I think autolites are fine, just steer clear of bosch or champion IMO. Just my .02

get autolite #25 with MSD Super Conductor Wires they are best i have heard of so far. Since you are doing a tuneup clean the normal parts IAC, EGR, TB, PCV screen and replace the PCV and also clean the MAF

only get a cap that has brass terminals....as for wires you want the wire with the least resist per foot...I would get a set of wires you cut to fit so you can a nice clean look as the ready made wires afton don't fit right.....

if you do this then get a 6AL and get the installation harness so you dont have to cut any of the wires just plug it in and go

way ahaead of you. already cleaned the iac, egr, tb. im waiting to get my tool to clean the maf. all ill i have to do is the maf, pcv screen and replace the pcv.
