Default WHO HAS AFR 185's PEDESTAL MOUNT? LOOK INSIDE.

when i was at the world ford challenge. i visited the AFR stand, and we talked about my setup, and what i found out was although i kept my lift in check my duration is causing
me to valve float[:@]......i kept wondering why when i had it dynoed last year/this year.
my car fell off like a rock after 5500rpm....it was smooth until i reached that point.
the intake is a rpm,and the cam is a comp 276hr which was ranged at 2200 to 6200..
has anybody heard this? or experienced it? or did i talk with the wrong guy?

Are the springs that you are using to the same spec as recommended with that cam? I know I'm going to use a xe274 and I have to swap the springs out of the 185.

i asked comp when i ordered...they said i should be fine[&:]...that was the first thing i told those guy's.
AFR said my ramp rate vs. there springs is hurting my performance..

Yeah, AFR even states on their website to use stiffer spring if you use more than such a lift and dur. I know a guy that built a 351W in his 86 and bought preassembled heads and the valve would float right at 6000. It almost seems like you need to put stiffer springs in preassembled heads..

well every time you float the valves they get weaker every time they float..you might want to pull you cover and check for broken inner spring ,my hyd roller in my truck was flat lining ,,i had 1 broken spring...but then i changed spring and went with solid roller cam ..more power..more gas....[] ..i should have down sized..[8D] i think that guys full of it ..i got 1.7 s and 700 lift ..and i got no probelms ..230 psi seat pressure...trucks got 205 psi..your spring are set out of your cam specs ,,right ,,hyd rollers sign off quicker ,,thats why i changed ..7800 or bust...
