Default supercharged!

Hey i just supercharged my 92lx. I put on a v-2 sc-trim from vortech with a 12lb pulley. Now the question is other that getting bigger injectors, a maf calibrated for the injectos, different fuel pump, is it ready to go or do i need something else? tune maybe. i called a shop and they said they would tune it for about $950, it sounds a little high, what do you guys think? Can i run safley without tune?

Thanks.

I have the same supercharger, running 10lbs of boost. I have 30lbs injectors with my set-up . But i would recommend getting a tune to see where you are at and where you need to be. Whether you do it yourself or take it to a tune shop. But $950 sounds extremely high for a tune. I would recommend tweecer for a self tune program that can be adjusted for your bolt-ons now and for your future bolt-ons. Just bought one tonight from Pro Mustang Performance for 369.00. Wish u well and hope this helps

Same set up as well on my 90. The only diff is that I have 42lb injectors. You definitely need a tune! However, $950 is extremly high, find another shop, that one is ripping you off! A tune for that application should not exceed $500...Good luck!

the money you spend on the tune will only be as good as the amount of time you allow the guy to spend as well as the tuners ability = you get what you pay for...you want a 400-500 dollar tune go for it, generally a 1/2 a day around here is in the 450.00 range and full day is 850.00....but it all depends on how in depth you want the tuner to go and how many tunes you wish to have, some want a tune for ecomomy, then one for performance, then one for max performance and some for emissions, all depends, anyway the PMS most likely will be above your ability to figure them out quick, there is a big learning curve that comes with the programmable management systems and you must understand what alterations and to what tables need to be made and when such is made how will that affect the performance

No a tune performed by a shop will always be better. The tuner knows more (most of the time).

I am running the C&L 76mm, but I pegged the MAF, so I am also using a Diblosport Mafia to extend it.
