i have an 89 notch, it was origanally a 4 banger but i did the swap about 8 months ago. recently the car has been having trouble starting when its hot. cold it starts up just fine but when its been run for a little, as little as 15-20 minutes it acts like the battery is dead. if you let it sit and cool down it will start just fine again. its not overheating or anywhere near it.it just dosent wanna turn over. anybody know whats going on?

 

have you check the engine timing?

 

i thought thats what it was but i wasent sure, i dont have a timing light so i just brought my buddys fox over and put the distributor in the exact same spot, well as close as i could get it. but still problem persists. i guess next step is to get the light.
