Default intake install trouble

so yesturday i finished installing my typhoon intake manifold. i cant get me car to start, my battery was dead and i hoped that was the problem, but i got it charged today, its cranks good but its just doesnt want to start. i was just wondering if you guys can throw out some ideas as to what could be the reason as to why it wont start. i did remove the distrubuter and put it back in the same spot. as i crank it, it seems like its strugling to start, some times ill let off the key to stop the starter and the motor will have like 2% life in it, itll putter a bit and die.

you may have thought you got the dizzy in correctly but in fact it may not be, try rotating the dizzy while cranking to see if it fires up

You're going to have to find TDC, remove spark plug #1, put your finger down #1, turn the engine over by hand until the compression stroke blows air out (at your finger), move the balancer to "0" on the timiming striker and put the distributer in pointing at #1, should get you close...

Note: it will be hard to turn the engine with all the spark plugs in & turn CLOCKWISE!

...Car will not start if you "quick start" it & Do Not add gas...you'll end up fouling the plugs!

k wow im so happy i got it start, i know the timing is off i can hear it, but its sounds so frickin BAD ASSSS wow. when i started her up some black smoke came out, then it start shoting out some white smoke. also when i roughly found a spot where it ran the best and reved it, the engine would stall out once the rpms settled down.

i put on the typhoon intake manifold, yea it sounds different for sure, and i think that once i get the timing done right i think the motor will be making some more power to. what could be causing the idle to die out after i rev it? could that be because of the timing

It could be. Could also be an IAC problem too. Make sure you have no vacuum leaks also.
