Default EXTREMELY Slow Idle Drop???

I have a stock 95 5.0 (automatic with 50K org. miles) which is having idle problems. It literally takes 4-6 seconds for the idle to drop from 2,500 to 800 rpm. I've removed and cleaned the IAC, throttle plate, MAF wire, reset the base idle (800 rpm), checked the TPS voltage (which is fine), and advanced the timing to 12. This didn't do much, now only takes 3-5 seconds for the idle to return to normal. It also seems to lack a LOT of power (according to what others say, this is my first Ford experience). About the only time I can get the wheels to spin is when I drop it to first and the road is wet! Any solutions? Thanks!
