I have a 93 LX 5.0 with a aod trans. I just recently had emissions work done and in the process the little grommet in the TV cable broke out and my trans was shifting funny. I got a new one and all good, but only for a bit. Now the thing is taking long to go into 1st gear. It take high RPM's to get it to ease in. And once it does it's fine. All the gears shift through normal including the overdrive. I was wondering if the new grommet has anything to with the problem or if the TV cable can be adjusted to fix this or maybe a fluid and filter change???? Please help before I spend money on a new trans and don't need to.
