i have an 89 mustang gt... i have been tacking various problems with this new car and it only seems to be getting worse!!!
I start the car it sounds fine but every time i sit at an idle and rev it up it it bogs down then revs.. like there is a delay... so i back out and put it in drive and it does the same thing almost at times seeming like its going to die!! Can someone PLEASE help me I have work tomorrow and this is my only transportation I need to get this thing running half way decent! THANKS!!

 

could be several things.. sounds like it's starving for gas..maybe a new fuel filter is needed

 

everytime i even touch the gas pedal it seems as if its guna die for a second... SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

 

your tps could be off too. it's supposed to be at .98 or so. did you check your fuel filter like vfast said?

 

if it was the fuel filter I dont think it would rev back up.

 

Fuel pressure regulator could be going bad?

 

I'm pretty sure if you're this clueless on what it could be, you should take the advice.

 

it could be the fuel filter, it if boggs like it is starving for fuel then it has a lack of fuel, but if it picks back up that could mean the filter is letting some fuel in and that is why it picks up, a filter it cheap and a 10min job if i was you i would do it, also clean fuel=better throttle response and more power, also get a fuel pressure gauge to mount onto your shrader valve, so you know if you have the right ammount of psi, if not then it could be the fuel pump, regulator, cloged fuel lines it is endless what it could be, try the cheap stuff first.
