What controls my timing on my 87 Gt... it is converted to MAF.. I have a trickflow stage 1 cam and i set my timing at 12 degrees... and when i give it gas to like 3k.. the timing doesnt move up... it actually may go down a couple degrees... shouldnt it advance ? what could the problem be...

 

sounds like your spout is out which is what you want when you set your base timing, but you need to reinstall it after, which allows the computer to advance it. Hopefully you have not lost the spout connector.

 

the spout? is that the thing that plugs in? I pulled it out and set the timing then i put it back in.... anything else i need to do?
