Default REAR DIFF FLUIDS

I HAVE A 1992 5.0 AND I INSTALLED ROYAL PURPLE IN THE REAREND DO I STILL NEED TO USE FRICTION MODIFYER????

I thought you werent supposed to overdue it with the FM. Anyway, RP has it in there already and they do not recommend adding anything else... read the bottle.

now when i burn out around a corner i can feel when the rear end isnt hitting posi it comes in and out is that cause of the lack of modifier?????? or a tired rear end. car has 107,000 miles

Its not supposed to.. Its a posi aka limited slip like Explosive said. Its supposed to give some turning radius help by allowing one wheel to spin faster than the other. If it was a spoll then it would burn out while going around a corner but with a posi/limited slip it will only burn out with one tire around a corner like that.
