I have a 94 five speed five o and when i start it it makes a wired noise like the starter is like stickin so i shut it off and when the key is in the off position the car is still turning over but wont start until i put the key to on... I changed the ignition starter switch and it helped because it doesnt do it every time now but what do you think it is??

 

had the same problem on a 89 stang. after frying a couple starter soleniods, and a replacing a ign switch found out it was the netrual safety switch doing it. friend of mine explained it to me, something like netrual switch starts going bad and sends out wrong voltage to starter solenoid and frys that.
