If you mean the flange that meets the head the thicker the better less chance of warping.

Find a set that the tubes are all connected. This is why everyone is dissapointed with mac's headers. They don't have them connected which causes the tubes to be a pain to reinstall after a good use. As for shorty's vs long tubes and equal lengths it all depends on how much you like dealing with pain in the *** parts. Yes long tubes are better than shorties and equal length perform better than unequals but the more piping there is the more of a pain it can be to work on things. So you have to take this into mind when buying a set of headers.

you get what you pay for works great here.

Yes def. dont go cheap on headers. I tried the headers from summit, and they were crap. They were not made good at all, would have had all kinds of leaks.

Definately BBK. I just installed a new set of unequal shorties and I am pleased with them. They fit great.

Thanks guys. I've been looking at bbk headers. Once I get the money I might get the bbk equal length. These

The chrome tend to discolor and rust. I put ceramic coated on mine. The cost more, but 3 years later they look brand new.

bbk here also.. i have mac now and the fitment wasn't great. the bbk have a great fit, they look awesome, and the sound great... the longtubes are nice because it makes bolting up mid pipes a lot easing the equals, or shorties..
