balancer questions

Default balancer questions

i bought a 347 short block "mexican block with probe internals" but it didn't come with a balancer. its balanced to run a 28 ounce balancer, whats a good balancer to run?

For the money the professional products sfi approved damper is a very nice piece for almost half as much as say a fluidamper.Plus it has removable counter weights for a 28.2 or the 50. But you will need a spacer for the crank pulley since the design is based off of the older ford balancers.

ok it says my block needs no spacer its a 68 block but its going in a 88 gt so will i need a spacer for pulleys to line up??

i have that PP balancer, but i didnt plan on spinning past 6k... well now ill be hitting almost 7k.

my thoughts on the PP: price is right for what you get.

i bought an sfi ATI and paid the high price, but i know its worth it.

pm me if you want my balancer and spacer.

i got thinking about it and w as planning on using the flywheel that was in my car in this swap, but i donno what the 88 ho motor was balanced to. i no my new motor is balanced to 28oz is the origanal motor balanced to the same?

negative. 88 is balanced to 50 oz. you will need a flywheel to match.
