In my 86, which is a bit different, took the shifter **** off, shifter boot, and I think there were a total of four screws holding it to the foor board. Looks so good without a console, I was thinking of gettng a delete kit...

Lift up the shifter bolt and there should be 2 screws under there in the front.
Then remove the oval covers on both sides at the back of the console. Then remove the 4 screws holding the armrest into the console. Then remove the arm rest and there should be 2 more screws under it.Then it should lift off.You will have to unplug the lighter.

Yeah, you 87-93 guys are sort of lucky, didn't have to unplug the message center connection, old connectors are sometimes a bitch.

after you do the step above you will need to remove the lower cover off the steering wheel and open up the glove box door. ther is like 4 screws there also need to remove the radio to get that rest of the console out
