Default Steering shaft

On a 94 gt how do you disconnect the steering shaft?

nice, no seriously i never removed one before, im going to put some longtubes on my 94 and since its an auto either way the mac or pacesetter suck to install

loosen the steering rack (dont take it all the way off).

it should disconnect when u loosen the rack

then theres a big bolt near the firewall where the shaft meets the column (inside engine bay)

you shouldnt have to loosen the steering rack. the shaft will colapse on itself, all steering shafts for all cars are made that way its for safty so just colapse it and you will be good
