what kind of gains should i expect by wraping headers, and how much will it acualy reduce under hoood tempatures, how much dose header wrap normaly cost?

It's pretty cheap, not much of a gain, just less of a chance of burning wires or hoses.

depends on how much you lower the underhood temp. i think 10* off the motor is about 1% hp or something like that.

There are also stories of it causeing your headers to rust, and it really does not give much of a gain. I would just get the headers ceramic coated and be done with it. I had it on my Super Bee and took it off because it made a mess and kept coming unraveled, it gets very fragile after a few heat cycles.

I like it...what is does is keep the heat in the headers/exhaust..hotter the gas faster it moves out....
