Default Common Sources of Vacuum leaks

I'm really sick of my crappy idle so I've decided to get off my rear and check for vacuum leaks in my 91. I am not very familiar with where all the vac lines in this car run so any suggestions on where to start looking or common sources for leaks?

start by running codes. lots of idle issues can be caused by faulty sensor readings or dirty MAF, ect. once you know nothing code based is your problem either get a fog machine and fog your vac lines or get tons of carb cleaner and start sprayin that bish down.

most of your vac lines will run along the firewall. just follow the lines off the vac tree and spray around the intake, gaskets and everything.

I haven't pulled any codes for a while and no longer have access to one. Can you recommend a digital unit? found this one on amazon, seems like a good price:
