Default delete computer

I have a 89 5.0 and i was just wondering if ther is a way i can delete the who computer or will it effect alot of things and what would i have to do..i basically want to turn this into a stricly drag car but no motor swap keep the stock 302 motor and just build it all motor. let me know any suggestions

delete the "who computer"???? huh??? if you mean the ecm/eec iv, answer = no unless you wish to convert to carb

delete the obd system..and do u have ne recommendations on wich parts to get or things to do..i already have a list of things but just trien to see what other people recommend im not use to building these cars i usually work on my newer mustang but not the fox bodies.

ok question if ytou go to carb... will the stock gauges still work? what all does it require? intake carb??

There's no reason why they wouldn't work, as long as you hooked them up. But it would probably be a better idea if you went with mechanical gauges.
