Default Stroker Engine Help needed!

I'm looking to buy a block and 331 stroker kit from a buddy of mine.

Stroker Kit - http://www.dssracing.com/ProductDeta...ctCode=RA331SX
Block - http://www.dssracing.com/ProductDeta...ode=LVL+10+302

I have a 1990 Mustang GT 5.0 which is completely stock and i was wondering if i could take parts like the heads, intake, cam from my old block and put it on the new block with stroker kit. and if i could would it run well or not. Any help is appreciated.

depends on what h/c/i you currently have?? if it's nothing more than stock IMO it's a waste to even do it.

You can put the parts on the new block but it won't be all that

I've currently got stock heads, cams and EFI intake. The reason im considering getting the stroker kit and block is that he's selling it for 1500 and my current engine is worn out.

I'm not expecting it to haul *** right off the bat, just trying to find a solid base to build on.

Like mjr46 said, it will be a waste of time to install the stock heads and cam. My question is, what are you getting for $1500???. Is the block fully machined and ready for assembly???. If the answer is yes, it's a marginal deal at best (who did the machine work and what's the quality of the work done?). If the answer is no, it's probably not worth $1500. For that kind of money, you can get the DIY kit from fordstrokers.com, and you'll know the work is top notch, and Woody will stand behind his product. $500 more gets you a balanced assembled shortblock.
