Burnout in Reverse???
So the other night i did a little burnout in reverse in my 94 GT, it burned out normally but at the end gave some violent "wheel hop".
So i thought all was fine and dandy, but now whenever i go in reverse there is a really loud "whirring noise" which kind of fluctuates and almost sounds like fast scuffing or rubbing noises mixed with whirring.
Anyone know what could be wrong or what I may have broke?

All depends on where the sound is coming from, but internal transmission issues are right up the top of this list. I'd start with checking control arms in the rear though, cheapest solution and most probable. The control arms are meant to keep the tires down in a forward motion, putting so much stress on them in reverse was not a great idea.
I've got a brand new tremec t-5 and if I am trying to go reverse up a hill... like backing out of a sloped driveway, which I have only done once so far... my trans makes that whirring noise. Although on flat ground or a slight slope it is quiet.
